This Jamaat leader said these words as the chief guest at a gathering of the responsible persons of 21 parliamentary constituencies of Barisal division at the Barisal District Bar Association auditorium this Saturday morning. Syed Abdullah said, “The country is moving in a positive direction. There is an optimistic desire among the people. But fundamental reforms have not been done yet. We want a bicameral parliament. No one can be the prime minister more than twice.”

The gathering was presided over by Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Muazzam Hossain. In his speech as president, Muazzam Hossain said, “People are disappointed by seeing many parties, now they want to see Islamic rule.” Jamaat is now the wish of the people.
